Shaina graduated from Midwestern State University in 2008 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked as a nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for 7 years before furthering her education. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington for a dual master’s degree in primary and acute pediatric care and graduated in 2015. She is board certified by PNCB as a Pediatric Primary and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She enjoys well child checks and vaccine education in the primary care setting, while patients with sepsis and respiratory failure are other passions in the inpatient arena. She enjoys the mountains, running, learning about wine, and spending time with her own little ones.
