Robyn Burwell, APRN

Robyn graduated with her BSN from the University of Kansas in 1991. She worked at a Veteran’s Hospital for 5 years before moving to a rural community where she practiced in varying roles throughout her years as a nurse. In 2004, she graduated from Fort Hays State University with degrees as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Master of Science in Nursing Administration. She enjoyed being a Family Nurse Practitioner but saw the overwhelming need for accessible mental health care in rural Kansas and therefore completed her degree as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of Kansas in 2021. She has enjoyed many diverse areas including Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Hospitalist, Family Health and Psychiatry. Her work experiences have been mainly in rural areas with limited access to health care. This has kindled a desire to provide everyone access to affordable, quality mental health care, no matter where they may be located. Robyn will tell you this is the most fulfilling role she has experienced. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors either fishing or hiking, traveling, and enjoying time with her family and friends.
